Stage

These are lyrics from a random song I wrote a few years ago. It's been tweaked to look like a poem. This piece got inspiration from a certain classmate.

When these lyrics were written, it was in a really competitive setting where it felt that like an endless grind of competition. The atmosphere was physically and mentally exhausting. There is no hate against this certain classmate- but rather what she represented.

When she comes inside,

they bow their heads and hide.

They cower 'cause she's scary,

while her eyes assess them keenly.

Proving she is right,

With a future so bright.

This competency,

Causes blatant rivalry.

They cower in fear,

pray to God, and shed a tear.

Please have mercy,

Pray to God 'help me',

It's for my family,

to get a degree.

Walk on the stage,

Raise your chin and brave,

Don't be scared,

Just because she's there.
