Future of Us

Acrostic poem using my name but tried to make the topic connect with problems we face as teens, like not being heard by the older generation, restlessly thinking of what the future might bring.

Always, I answer with respect.

Raging with emotions, I start to reflect.

In these times, one cannot be swayed;

Are these the things we want portrayed?

Day and night, one thinks of the future,

Aloof with the thought it might be stolen like a vulture.

Never should one suffer

If everyone ought to act tougher.

Eventually one wakes up,

Louder and louder as the thoughts jump.

Look around, think of our time,

Equality, when will it be prime?
